Anthony is a board-certified and panel-appointed Consultant Podiatric Surgeon with over two decades of experience in the diagnosis and management of foot and ankle conditions. He provides specialist outpatient care across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Merseyside, delivering both conservative and surgical treatment tailored to individual patient needs.

 Anthony manages the full spectrum of foot and ankle pathology. Common conditions treated include: 

  • Hallux Valgus (Bunion)
  • Hallux Limitus / Hallux Rigidus
  • Morton’s Neuroma
  • Metatarsalgia
  • Tendon injuries and tendinopathies
  • Achilles tendon issues
  • Hammer toes
  • Osteoarthritis of the foot
  • Heel pain and plantar fasciopathy
  • Tarsal tunnel syndrome
  • Nail pathology
  • Surgical excision of painful callus

 His clinical practice combines evidence-based treatment with a strong focus on restoring patient function, mobility and quality of life.

Professional Leadership

During his surgical training, Anthony was also elected as a trainee representative to the Faculty Board of Podiatric Surgery (2002–2006).

He has previously led podopaediatric services, working closely with Foot Health Services, Surgical Appliances departments and Orthopaedics & Trauma teams.

Through his role at the University of Salford, Anthony continues to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across multiple clinical topics and acts as a mentor to orthopaedic and trauma colleagues.

Training & Qualifications

Anthony achieved Fellowship in Podiatric Surgery (FRCPodS) in 2005 through the Royal College of Podiatry surgical faculty.

He was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Podiatric Surgical Training (CCPST) in 2009.

Anthonys interest in Sports Injuries led him to complete a HND is Sports Science at Manchester.

Specialist Interests

Alongside his primary surgical caseload, Anthony has developed particular expertise in:

  • Sports Injury of the foot and lower leg
  • Tendon repair surgery
  • Foot infection management
  • Revision foot surgery


 

Medico-Legal Experience

Anthony has prepared approximately 150 medico-legal reports since 2010, primarily for NHS Resolution.

He also undertakes claimant work (approximately 20% of reports), always ensuring that his reports are balanced, objective and compliant with his duties to the court.

Personal Interests

Outside of clinical practice, Anthony is a keen Masters athlete who enjoys a variety of endurance sports and outdoor activities.

His interests include:

  • Endurance multisport racing

  • Outdoor adventure sports
